Mission
The Mental Health Transformation Alliance is a family-run organization (FRO) dedicated to empowering families, youth, and individuals with lived experiences by providing essential support, resources, and advocacy. In collaboration with community and state partners, we work to establish a person-centered, family-driven, and youth-guided system of care that promotes mental health, well-being, and lasting transformation.
Vision
We envision a future where systems are inclusive, accessible, and shaped by the voices of those they serve. Through strong partnerships and a dedication to lasting change, we work to build a compassionate, responsive, and sustainable support network that empowers individuals and strengthens communities.

On September 8, 2025, MHTA had the privilege of leading the Family Partnership Facilitator Training with a passionate group of NC Department of Juvenile Justice staff.
This training focused on strategies to strengthen engagement between families, youth, and juvenile justice teams — fostering collaboration, trust, and shared decision-making to improve outcomes for young people and their families.
We are grateful for the opportunity to support this important work and look forward to seeing the lasting impact these leaders will create in their communities.
On September 10–11, 2025, community leaders, advocates, and changemakers from across Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee gathered at the Delta Hotel Bristol for the STRONG Accountable Care Community’s 2025 Regional Symposium.
This year’s theme, “One Region: Uniting in Action,” celebrated the power of collaboration across sectors and state lines to build a resilient, equitable, and thriving Appalachia. With powerful storytelling, 16 breakout sessions, insights from state policymakers, hands-on solutions, and networking opportunities, the symposium energized and connected those working to address some of our region’s most pressing challenges.
Layla’s Hope was honored to participate in the Partner Showcase, where we shared our mission to support missing, homeless, and runaway youth. This event was a wonderful opportunity to connect with other organizations and leaders who are dedicated to making a difference for families and youth in our communities.
We are grateful to everyone who stopped by to learn more about Layla’s Hope and our work. Together, we can create stronger, safer, and more hopeful communities for youth and families across the region. 🦋💜
